Charla Henderson’s signature cookie was the Quadruple Chocolate Cookie. (Powdered cocoa for color and flavor, milk chocolate chips, a chunk of dark chocolate in the center of each for a gooey middle, and drizzled with hot fudge.)

Sue is as oblivious as ever, isn’t she?
Charla (and her cookies) will be missed. Unless Sue can bring her “back”?
Well, the comic kinda took a dark turn.
… Please tell me this arc ends with Mr. Fluffy thoroughly destroyed.
It had better.
Incidentally, your picture is a perfect reaction shot for this strip.
I’m not so much “What.” as “quiet fury at a demonic plush toy”, really, but yeah it isn’t half bad as a reaction.
Seems a little dark that Charla’s in the tagged characters…
And ironic that her name has “char” in it.
Probably less of a coincidence. 😉
Prediction (and a hopeful one at that):
Charla is in there, going through the wreckage to see if there was some heirloom type thing that survived the fire. Al is just super emotional is all, not sad because anybody got hurt in the fire (again, optimistic theory here)
That faint splintering noise you’re hearing is the sound of my heart shattering into a hundred thousand tiny pieces… 🙁
