I don’t think so; where I live there’s a big ol’ supermarket downtown that sells pretty shrink-wrapped pig and cow viscera in the ethnic foods aisle.
And if there’s a market in Sunshine Terrace that sells pigs, I’d be pretty gosh-darned disappointed if they didn’t also sell their organs.
It depends on the region. We’ve got a lot of areas where people just don’t deal too much with where food actually COMES from; they’re accustomed to getting a slab of steak or hamburger wrapped in plastic and paper and that’s that. Even “organ meat” would usually be ground up first. And even in those areas that do work directly with the animals, people don’t typically skip down the neighborhood street with freshly harvested organs lumped in a picnic basket, still dripping with their juices.
Um… is it really that abnormal to buy organs in America? oO

A basket which had a HAND in it.

… and no one has thought to take poor Muffin to the veterinarian?
Actually it looks like the nubs have been stitched so maybe they did.
It happened off camera; they ran her to a late night place.
