Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhh…
Colson, you are a jerk and I hope you eat an extra helping of humble pie and have to apologize to these two girls
I’m going to be satisfied when the truth comes out and this guy gets humiliated.
Dave, within the last few comics your comments and those of the characters combined sum your opinion of police as pigs – is that your actual personal opinion or playing with the meme? Because it’s come over as personal opinion, which doesn’t fit with how you portray the police in Selkie, and your comments over there.
I don’t recall saying anything derogatory about the police aside from this strip’s pig joke. But I have no qualm or problem with law enforcement; this is more just leaning on old stereotypes for a punchline, honestly.

One local PD used to hold a inter-department football game every year: The Baccon Bowl. The trophy had a pig on it.
That isn’t to say one should call a cop a pig to their face, but it’s just one of those old terms that’s stuck around & isn’t going anywhere, so lots of old timers just roll with it/embrace it.
Since it looks like the replying issue has moved from Selkie to S&K, this is my reply to Dave’s reply to my original reply, which I can’t reply to. (Hoping I don’t accidentally create multiple copies, none of the tries previously has shown as going through.)

“I’d suggest he call the pig police, but that’s redundant.” – page 20, your author’s note on the upate.
Oh dammit. Sorry about that, I’ll get the commenting fixed.
And I kind of forgot entirely that I already made that wisecrack in commentary… woops. Recycled joke. But no, I don’t have a grief or issue with law enforcement, plethora of pig puns notwithstanding.

Let’s just hope HIS ears don’t get eaten; otherwise, how will we lambast him?
Angry letters and sign language, of course.
So, in this world the government is really ineffective at dealing with paranormal forces?
I’m gonna go with they outsource the work to ‘hero’s’. Like bounty hunting but less evil sounding.

Which is why I wondered.
