most animals don’t fight to the death – they fight until the other is subdued. Even predator animals like lions don’t fight to the death, if the other chooses to give up and run away.
That’s true, even if there are some exception. Like the wild boar mother, who try to protect her children – if you doesn’t run fast and far enough, then it will going to the end for the little ones safety.
I know, but in instances where both refuse to give up, they can, and will. Especially many herbivores. Aside from which, many animals that survive the fight itself will later die of exhaustion/wounds anyway.
To be fair, frog breeding is less sexy than you think. Its more of a “male squeezing the eggs out of the female and fertilizing the ejected eggs” type of a thing. So be careful if you ever come across a frog that is asking for a hug.
If you see a nature documentary about herbivores, you can one thing delist! 😀
Needs to be about herbivores that don’t fight each other to death over mates…

Naaa… That’s just frogs, utter psychos the lot of them.
Last time I heard someone say something like that, Lucy had locked Mr. Mooney in the bank vault.
