The trees can’t really move but sometimes the wind will conveniently blow them in a direction that mimics body language. Very… very conveniently.

Wait, fathers? Weird, I always imagined HT as a girl…and I’m assigning genders to a tree. This days off to a great start.
It’s just another aspect of Dave being painfully inclusive to everyone and with the trees I really don’t get it. Trees don’t have a gender. Trees produce functionally male flowers or functionally female flowers. Some trees can change those flowers depending on different circumstances. Trees don’t identify genders like people do. It’s ridiclious.
So you would prefer the trees were specifically identified as non-binary?
If prefer they were trees.
‘sprouted in shade’ = dropped on the head as a baby?
and i can totally understand sues horror – the kids are certainly growing fast! at this rate, they´ll have fully matured trees in their garden within a month…who might ‘polinate’ across the entire neighborhood.
Some species of trees have gender, some are both (and some of those can self pollinate, while others have male and female fertility at different times so they can’t).
And it looks like they have a lot of inherited memory such as knowledge of years, days, and their probable lifetime. But whether they’re being rude or not is more subtle than that.

Mebby they have a bit of power over wind that’s used for exspressions?
