Seriously, though: isn’t it better that she make such things out of boredom rather than making much more efficient things because she’s obsessed with a particular goal?
Better to make a bomb that could be used to turn oxygen into used cat litter, than a whole bunch of said bombs with the specific intention of using them.

I’m still stuck on if we should be inventing an electric pinecone shaper or the gas powered ones. Do you want to sacrifice control for power and the ability to do really large pinecones?
