Bit rude.
(To answer a question that was asked in a comment that failed to make it through the moderation queue on the previous strip, “Cancer” is the name of Magnolia’s greatsword. It’s aligned with the Constellation of the Crab.)

Magnolia scares me a little because to me she looks a lot like Lillian from Selkie … and the idea of Lillian being some kind of immortal super-being is far more intimidating that “just Lillian.” š
weeellllll… maybe the people responsible for the production of the TV Show used Lillian’s likeness as the basis for Magnolia’s character when producing the cartoon that Selkie is always watching? and that enough differences from “real-life” to “Cartoon art” have crept in so that none of the kids realize it?
My headcanon is that there was a contest: “Send us an idea, and if we use it, we’ll create some characters based on you and your friends and family”. Georgie’s entry was “Giant carrot superhero.”
With every word that comes out of Mag’s mouth, my desire to watch her get her butt kicked grows.
agreed, especially since sheĀ“s definitely the pott calling the kettle black here – i bet getting turned into a vamp kinda breaks whatever oath SHE gave way back when as a soldier/protector of her people….and donĀ“t even get me started on delusions, never mind her own undead state, thereĀ“s also the fact that merrily slaughters ALL supernatural creatures, not just the evil/dangerous ones. heck, carrot dude was considered a HERO!
yeah, she sure does have that oh… teensy tiny, itty bitty ARROGANCE streak showing doesn’t she? maybe a bit of overwhelming Pride in there as well? i’ll bet that THAT was how the original Vamp exploited the crack in her defenses which allowed it to slip inside her and take her over like Marie thinks happened all those years ago.
“I would abhor you to suffer …”???
To abhor means “to find disgusting”. She’s saying “I would find you disgusting to suffer …”
I think you mean “adjure”!
Also, āalign my missiveā should probably be āmissionā
